Hi, I am Cheryl and would like to begin by thanking you for visiting to my website!
My interest in Access Bars® began in 2016 when my chiropractor asked if she could run my Bars rather than working her chiropractic magic. I felt so relaxed after the session and, although I didn’t do my first Bars class until 3 years later, my thoughts often returned to it as it intrigued me how something so simple could be so effective. In 2023 I completed the training to become a certified Access Bars® Facilitator so, in addition to running Bars for clients, I am able to train people to become Access Bars® Practitioners and Facilitators.
Having worked in several corporate environments, I fully understand the impact that burnout, stress and anxiety have on employees, so one of my focus areas is Bars in Business®.
It has been scientifically proven that even a short, 20 minute session per week over a period of time impacts positively on a person’s mental health. Companies have reported seeing positive changes when employees have their Bars run as their employees are more focused, motivated and relaxed after their session, which in turn results in increased productivity and profitability, reduced absenteeism, increased resilience and mental clarity, and an increase in the ability to problem-solve.
Another of my focus areas is our younger generation, whose anxiety, depression and suicide rates are dramatically rising. I believe that, as our society changes, one of the best things we can do is learn how to help ourselves, and one another, to deal with and adapt to this highly charged, stressful world we live in. Time for ourselves is becoming increasingly important for our overall wellbeing and Bars sessions are a great way to spend that time.

More about Access Bars®
The Access Bars® is 32 points on the head (similar to meridian points) which, when activated, can help facilitate reduction in stress and trauma throughout the body, and increase positive attitudes toward life. It is a gentle, non-invasive, hands-on technique that, when lightly touched, the Bars points stimulate a positive neurological response inside the recipient. This appears to trigger the body’s natural ability to heal and facilitate the physiological changes required for greater wellbeing.
A Bars session normally lasts 60 to 90 minutes and feels like a gentle head massage. In a corporate environment, a quick, 20 minute session has been proven to have a positive impact on individuals.
And yes, there is scientific evidence!
Dr. Terrie Hope PhD, DNM, CFMW published an article in the Journal of Energy Psychology: Theory, Research, and Treatment in November 2017, describing how the results of one 90-minute Access Bars® session indicated a significant decrease in the severity of depression and anxiety
Further research was done in 2015 by leading neuroscientist Dr. Jeffrey L. Fannin, with 60 participants, he discovered that Access Bars® had a positive neurological effect on the recipient, similar to those experienced by advanced meditators – and it produced results immediately
